What a line-up of programs and activities the Centre has planned for you! With so many things happening, there is always something at Strathcona Place Senior Centre for everyone to enjoy and participate in.

Please note that some of the programs start the first week of September while other programs begin at different times. At the front reception desk, pick up our Program and Activities brochure indicating the instructed classes, activities, and services with starting dates, time or duration, instructor(s), and description of the program or activity.

Various continuing education, recreational activities and service programs are part of our total Senior Centre operations! These courses and activities are available at a modest cost for three Sessions; September to December, January to April, and May to August. We offer special events along with regular card games, choirs, recreational activities, and Outreach social events.

The membership year runs from September to September.

Membership for the Centre is available for only $25.00 per year! Membership fees are due September 1 of each year.

Membership is your key to all the enjoyment of "The Centre" – Strathcona Place.

Tours of the Centre are available for all who are interested in knowing more about the Centre programs and activities; just give us a call at 433-5807 or drop in, we would be delighted to show you around. Scheduled tours are at 10:30 am on the Thursday of Fall or Winter registration week.

Fees for instructed classes are reasonable at $25.00 per seasonal session. The group activities, coordinated by Volunteer Leaders, such as shuffleboard, snooker, and similar activities, are offered for a seasonal fee of $15 per session.

There is a maximum registration fee that each member will be charged per season. A policy is in effect that each member may participate in any number of instructed classes or group activities for a maximum registration fee of $50 per season. The more classes you take the more you save!

Programs are conducted exclusively by dedicated and skilled volunteers providing approximately forty different services and activities using the facilities of the Centre. A workshop, art studio, auditorium, pleasant lounges, games, activity areas, and a very amiable staff make Strathcona Place Centre and engaging senior citizen venue.

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dining Room service is available from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday. All are welcome to come and enjoy special selections that our chef has prepared just for you. Bring your friends, children, or grandchildren. Once a month the Dining Room is open for a Wednesday Evening Dinner (usually 2nd week) at 5:30. Take-outs of menu items are available upon request.

The Jeff Allen Art Gallery of the Centre hosts different artists on a monthly basis in the Main Lounge. Gallery viewing hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Open House to meet the Artist usually follows the Wednesday Evening Dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
